Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job On DVD

Here's the deal. This dvd contains all ten episodes from the first season with commentary from the guys! I've watched it over and over at least 10 times. The extras are really funny and interesting. Sure, the running time is real at a mere 115 minutes in all, but real fans know that the episodes are only 11 minutes long. So I'd say it's decent. I'm sure they couldn't have made it much longer! The whole season is only 13 bucks on amazon, too!

Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job is a fast paced absurd collection of short films parodies animations pranks and musical numbers featuring the talents of Bob Odenkirk, John C Reilly, Weird Al Yankovic, Zach Galifianakis, Brian Posehn, Todd Barry and a host of comedians, celebrities, bad actors and pets. It's insane, guys. You gotta warm up to it. It's worth it, though! Here's a clip:

Spaceballs The Animated Series!

Mastermind Mel Brooks is at it again. Spaceballs the animated series has been talked about since around 2004 and now it's finally going to happen! June 1st, 2008, G4 will start airing the first 13 episodes of the series. Mel Brooks will not only be directing and writing the film, but will also be providing his voice for the roles of President Skroob and Yogurt. The very same characters he played in the original 1987 film. Daphne Zuniga and Joan Rivers will also reprise their roles from the film, although Bill Pullman will not. Tino Insana will replace the late John Candy as "Barf." That's all the info I could pull up as of now. I'll probably update you with a new post as soon has I get more info.

Weezer Album #6

Here it is. The cover for the new Weezer album. As some of you probably know, I'm an avid fan of The Weez. So I figured I'd give you an update on the new album. It's going to be a self titled album, or "The Red Album." It's set to be released in June. A lot sooner than I had expected. I have to say that the only Weezer albums that have really taken me somewhere have been Blue, Pinkterton, and Green. I liked Maladroit, but I feel like it was sketchy, but still good. Make believe, I didn't like. But I listened to it a lot, simply because I'm a true fan and supporter of the band. After all, they're the band that made me not feel so alone during the early years of my life for being a geek. So, on to the new album. It was produced by Rick Ruben, who shouldn't be producing it. I say either bring back Ric Ocasek, or produce it themselves like Pinkerton. We'll just have to see after it's released, or leaked. The first single "Pork and Beans" is a horrible sell-out of a song. It's void of any real substance, predictable, and cluttered with vomit-inducing name drops. I couldn't relate to it in any way. Without the heartbreak or something else I can relate to, you've just got a cheesy pop album. Also, it sucks. Well, now that I'm done bashing the new song, here's the track listing for the album:

1. "Troublemaker"
2. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)"
3. "Pork and Beans"
4. "Heart Songs"
5. "Everybody Get Dangerous"
6. "Dreamin’"
7. "Thought I Knew"
8. "Cold Dark World"
9. "Automatic"
10. "The Angel and the One"

The "Deluxe" comes with these extra tracks:

11. "Miss Sweeney"
12. "Pig"
13. "The Spider"
14. "King"

I personally like "Pig." I heard the demo of it a while back and it was really good and made me think of when I was young. I could relate to it. The melody was good too. Let's hope the album turns out alright. Although, my sources give it a big doubtful frown.

Head over to Weezer.com to hear the new single and get info on pre-orders. For now, I suggest you listen to Pinkerton. The perfect rock album for my generation. Weezer is sort of like that friend that moved away when you were 10. Then moved back 5 years later and turned out to be a complete douchebag. I'll still "Listen" to the album. I'm not a pretentious jerk. It just looks very doubtful and (so far) sounds bad.
